Why MijnGeldConverter?

MGC Screen
  1. You make use of internet banking but your financial software does not support the format of your downloads from your financial institution
  2. You would like to use another financial software but since it does not support the download format you need you stick with the one you use.
  3. You want to move your transactions in a simple way between different financial software applications.
  4. You want more than simple straight conversion the other comparable parsers offer. MijnGeldConverter is smarter and can:
    1. rewrite names of relations (i.e. <HEMA 1429 to Hema)
    2. recognise transfers between your own accounts
    3. deal with all currency units
    4. fill in lacking information in your financial institution downloads (such as account numbers etc.)
  5. … and MijnGeldConverter is completely free to use!

MGC logoMijnGeldConverter© (MGC©) is a simple and free tool to convert various proprietary internet downloads of transactions to QIF or OFX (Open Financial Exchange). MGC is a separately usable tool which is also part of  MijnGeld. If you use MijnGeld, you do not need to download and install MijnGeldConverter, and if you want to convert you can do this from MijnGeld as well.

The OFX or QIF files produced by the software can be used to import into applications like Microsoft Money, Quicken (just QIF!) on Windows, and GNUCash on Linux.

You can use the software free for non-commercial (private) purposes, more information on licenses can be read here.

MijnGeldConverter is an open-source project hosted Google Code. You can find the source code there, for example to verify no spyware is hidden in it. Open issues and their status can be found there as well.

MijnGeldConverter is available for virtually all existing platforms: Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux among others. In the Downloads section you can find the downloads for your platform — if you find one missing, please contact me and I will make it available shortly.
